AA Charge Pipe failing with JB4

just put in my JB4 today and after really getting on it, it seems the charge pipes silicone hose keeps popping off under high boost. anyone else having this issue?? No matter what i do or how much i tighten it just seems the hose is not long enough and the clamps are not holding it together, if i take the car past 5k rpm in 1st it just pops... help

Where is popping off at. The throttle body ot hot side pipe? My synapse CP kept popping off too. I noticed when I tightened it where the CP was it would behin to slip down I ended up using 2 hose clamps on the throttle body side alone.

Make sure you have the correct BOV spring, sometimes the BOV will not open quickly enough in 1st gear and you will have a huge surge in pressure between the time you let off the gas and the time it takes for the bov to actually open. Either that or your BOV is not getting a good vaccuum signal.

Or it could be your pipe. But I would check your BOV before contacting AA...

They really make shit parts for 1.

2. It's those 20 cent clamps bro. Go buy some real clamps.

3. AA uses oem Spring clip and oem connection to throttle body. If that's coming off well then u either didn't put the O-ring in Or it's just not seated on fully past the groove for the Spring clip. (Big C clip)

I found the reason mine kept popping off. I had oil build up in there which probably lubed it up so much that a small spike in boost was enough to make it slide right off. Cleaned it up with throttle body cleaner and so far so good. Time for a oil catch can!

Try applying some hairspray on the silicone after you clean it, this will make it sticky
