What effects do adding +20mm spacers have on things like tyre wear? As there is already a bit of camber on the rear and some cars seem to wear inner rear tyres quicker than others? will adding spacers enhance tyre wear, or will the wheel literally be in the exact same position/angle only 20mm further out? Been trying to figure it out, but can't seem to get my brain round it atm...

the wheel size doesn't affect whether you can or can't have spacers, only if the car is lowered they may hit the arches

So far tyres appear to be worn evenly...Ive got a service coming up so I can enquire more for you!

I guess it depends on the kind of look you want. I tried 20mm at the rear, but found (in my eyes) it just didn't look right. Went for 15mm rear and 10mm front for a 'flush' look. Each to his own...

I take it your car is on stock suspension too!

I think 10mm is perfect up front. You could squeeze 12mm but i dont think it is necessary.

For the look i want to achieve on the rear, i think 18 or 20mm is what i need to run. The 15mm still looks a little sunk in for my taste.

Sorry, my mistake, I just naturally assume people deck there cars. You have maintained a sensible ride height that looks gd but would not cause me issues tackling London speed bumps.

The R&Ts drop the ride height by 20mm front and 25mm rear. But my drop was less than that, because the MSport is already lower than standard.

They cost £2,200 including VAT, set up, fitting and adjustment, including 4-wheel tracking. A lot, I know, but Ohlins technology really does deliver the holy grail of superb handling with a silk-smooth ride.

Once the spacer is on the hub (assuming you've bought the proper hub-centric ones and the longer wheel bolts needed) then there's no more effort involved than changing a standard wheel.

Personal view, but I'd treat electric impact wrenches with caution. So easy to cross-thread/over-tighten/strip thread etc. Hand wrench and torque wrench would be my recommendation.

No need for an impact wrench at all, especially changing wheels. I managed for years without a torque wrench either, but for the sake of £10 or £15 they're a worthwhile investment.

They had 20mm's at one point! It would be worth messaging them, they come with free bolts too!

Your rear stance is cool so i've ordered a set aswell. Would you say 15mm for the front is best?

All i need to do now is get some longer locking wheel nuts, any good places to try?

Thanks, I'll give it a try and save myself some cash by getting someone else to do it.
Been using the impact wrench for many years and never had an issue. Five knocks per bolt and your done, but I understand your reccomendation.
