no you dont need to take it out.. keep it in off mode or if you want to leave it on then set it to like map 4 for a 25% remap and nothing else.

It's also good insurance against a dealer overwriting the AA program with an update. |

I don't know how the 328i behaves with only the manifold, ie how notisable that dip is.
My 128i 6mt + Disa only is very lively and satisfied my need for a tune & future proofed the car for me should I need the tune. Cost was only ~300 + 6 hours of effort to install and time to clean used manifold.

For those that dyno first before emailing your ECU tune, do you dyno on D or DS? I plan on doing a dyno first and send it together with my ECU file so AA will see if they can adjust it more.

Op if you're close with any buddies with a dyno see if you can just stay on a dyno for a long while. The common saying is the tune needs at least 500 miles for the tune to fully adapt. At least you won't be putting yourself or anyone at risk on the freeway so you can WOT stationary.

The Simon tool? Ask AA that, I just like their products. Just have a battery tender handy during the tuning.
When can I get a ride and see how it is? haha |

The product description says the redline is changed but not what it is changed to.
Anyone chime in?

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=727141&page=1 Given that it's on an XI-layout, the information should help you out a bit. I have an authorized shop in the area that can do AA's tune and for the price, it's worth a shot if you really want to push our NA. It all depends on what you want out of your car. Like what you've stated I'll be doing the tune after the 3-stage.

Also for the 3 stage intake manifold, is that all I need or I need other parts for it too? did some research and got some confusing answers. Im so confused right now lol. What do you guys recommend I do first, AA tune or the intake swap??

I would suggest a 335.

just need manifold and the DISA flaps that are attached to it, all else you use from the car. So it is important to get pictures and description from the junkyard before committing, you dont want a stripped manifold. All other sensors you reuse from ur own manifold. The 325i/330i guys have an oil separator which makes it harder to swap, and hoses can break. #28i hoses are okay if you are careful. Tune or intake manifold: They will both probably cost the same in the end. The manifold is harder to find and the swap take a good amount of time (5-6h for me). So a tune is best if you don't want the hassle or don't have a garage/working space( its getting colder). Also the manifold alone is not something alot of people have run, therefore not sure how the "dip" @ ~3k feels on 328i and if there any differences in feel between manual and auto transmissions.
