OP you are learning a valuable lesson here that unfortunately most people have to learn at some point (usually the hard way). Hopefully your situation will become a learning experience for others as well. Insurance is always a gamble. We are all paying for something that we hopefully will never have to use. I'm glad to hear that you are OK, and the damage wasn't catastrophic. These types of situations are never pleasant and hopefully everything will work out in your favor and you'll come out of this a bit wiser We all have to start somewhere, so best of luck to you

Thanks!

The country's largest auto insurer says it will change the way it does business following that major loss in court. CBS News Consumer Correspondent Herb Weisbaum reports. The company decided Thursday to temporarily suspend the use of "after-market" crash parts. For the time being, State Farm wants repair shops to only use parts made by auto manufacturers. State Farm says it's doing this to eliminate any customer confusion or concern.

Monday, a jury in Illinois ordered State Farm to pay $456 million to past and current policyholders. State Farm cheated its customers by making body shops use cheaper and sometimes inferior copycat parts for crash repairs, the jury decided.
Yes, I'm sure. I checked the parts myself. I know a BMW part when I see one. P/N and Roundel stamp...

Allstate tried that same crap with me on old car. $4600 damage, they offered $1500. The excuses were insane. Scumbags.

PURE for the win! They have not once installed an aftermarket part on any of my cars, They also have them repaired at the dealers.

Update:

So, I took it to Dave Orr's body shop. They replaced everything with OEM parts and gave the bill to Progressive. I also painted my kidneys and because they were damaged replaced them with OEM "Performance Black" kidney grills.

Went in to take a look at the car as it isn't finished yet, but looks almost ready!

Will just have to pay my deductible. Thanks everyone for their help and support.

I deal with insurance adjusters all the time in my job. You have to understand that the insurance companies scrape the bottom of the barrel to hire these people, and then train them to believe that everybody is a fraud, nobody has a legitimate claim, and that only the profits of the insurance company are material. There are some decent older adjusters . but when you get the young ones just out of school, you are generally dealing with people who could not make it in a real job and use these jobs as some sort of power trips.

In Florida, if your insurance company tries to screw you . . hire a lawyer. Even if you are arguing over just a few hundred dollars, they can end up paying your attorney tens of thousands if they lose the case. Insurance companies routinely try to save about 30% off what they should legitimately paying. Again, they are the bottom of the barrel. Remember that and although you may want to treat them respectfully to get the best service, never forget who and what you are dealing with.

Did Progressive already do their supplement because the bodyshop sending a bill over isnt going to fly since Progressive does their own estimtes

When I see how cheap aftermarket parts are, I see why the insurance cos. do what they do. I was fixing some rust on my 1998 Nissan, and my uncle goes why fix it, get a replacement aftermarket fender. It costs $38 at the body shop, and it's not the cheapest replacement fender, it's middle of the road. There is one for $70 and another for $29.

Imagine having insurance put a $38 retail fender on the car, it's probably under $20 wholesale. As opposed to an OEM being $308.73 retail, or probably 60% less wholesale. So insurance is trying to pay $20 for the fender, as opposed to the whopping $123. When you look at how much you pay in premiums, I'd hold them to the $123 if I could.
