Yeah, there are tons of advantages to having the portable unit...one being that I could have sat in bed and laughed my ass off to that damn channel 150!!
It's possible that here in Montreal the "to go" version didn't work so well? Anyway, I'm lucky enough to have a US address and not have to subscribe to the "Canadianized" version!
