There really arent any good tuning solutions for other big turbo kits. The only way to get another kit to work would to be team up with Vishnu, but they already have a kit...(que tuners to say their tune can do it)

I just got off the phone with Pro EFI. They are waiting on engine harness cables and they expect to start tuning a 335i by next week. Jason Siebels is a very smart guy. I'm glad they are working on our platform.

yup, we built this kit a lonnnng time ago Tuning is still not available for that car. The N54 and N55 would be no problem to build a turbo kit for, we just need a good tuning option. Looks like Jason will have something shortly.

How long does it take to go 80 miles if we are going 80mph.

Your right. It's not the smartest thing in the world to do. It's no different than all the "Mexico" video's that are posted.

** I do agree though.. Everything should be kept on a closed course or track. It's the only way to ensure safety.

So is the thinking behind these turbo kits that Vishnu is going to sell the procede/flash + LPFP to enable the tuning?

If so, any word on how much that is going to cost?

How can you develop a tune for something that doesn't exist yet? I think (like you) a lot of shops are waiting for a tune before developing a turbo kit; but this is backward logic in my mind. Without the turbo kits being readily available, how will the tuners be able to develop a tune for them? DEMAND --> HARDWARE --> TUNE

In regards to Vishnu, this tuning solution should work on any single turbo hardware, unless someone designs something way out of the box. Fundamentally, single turbo setups are going to be very similar in function. Doesn't matter too much what brand of hardware is being tuned, assuming the wastegate setup is similar, and turbo sizing isn't too different. Unless you are planning on using a variable geometry turbo or something, Vishnu should work.

I could build the same kit as Vishnu, but that's not what I want. I want big power (Not saying, Vishnu can't get big power, he is the man in the piggy back game.) but we don't have the ability to tune how we want to tune with the Procede. Shiv does though since it's unlocked for him.

We built the first e90 kit in 2007, when the 330i was first released. We were contracted for the hardware components only and the electronics never showed. Once a engine management system is available that allows us to do what we want similar to the AEM, Motech, Pro EFI, etc. We will build a monster of a kit

I've been reading a ton of posts on the other board about the Pro EFI setup and it sounds like it's coming sooner than later. I personally can't wait.

Try working at a shop where 700whp+ Evo's, 1000whp+ Supra, 1200whp+ GTR's are starting to be the norm and your cruising around in a 400whp 335i. No Good

You don't need Pro EFI to build 1000whp N54. Just think about it. Why would you?

Meehh not really, all the "Mexico" videos are filmed on an empty stretch of road that is either 2 lanes each way or on the interstate, which is in reference to the desolate or empty sections of "Mexico." This is residential street that kids can ride their bikes out of their driveway and into the road.

Going 140+ someone can look to the left and not see you then look to the right and pull out and be killed because they would never even know you were there.

I can't say that I don't speed on the street, but they are times that it is safER than others, and there are times when it is just flat out retarded, and this is one of those times. If I were you or topspeed I would not associate myself with this video or driver.

So it aounds like you are specifically waiting for a more standalone type of solution. I hope something comes around soon (ProEFI maybe?), because I can't wait to see some more big turbo setups! Would love to see what ETS can offer.
