Hi,

Did i read right? You don't need to put adhesive on the hard part just the heat gun?

How do you vinyl wrap around the handle and near the lights?

How long does it take to do a whole car?

Yeah man we use regular wallpaper paste you can get at any true value. Be sure to bring your rewards card. Average car takes about 2 hours, little longer if you wash it.

I'm going to wrap my car soon because I'm too lazy to wash & wax my car. With vinyl, I can just wipe the dust off with any dry towels without getting any swirl marks.

okay... clearly if this was done in 2009, I'm LATE to the Vinyl party. Your car looks awesome! Were the Dimensions your vinyl came in enough to cover each car panel seamlessly!? the 48 Inches doesn't sound like enough... you did the hood with 1 piece of vinyl?

it was 50" but had to do the hood with one large piece and 2 small pieces that are barely noticeable.

I just pulled the trigger last weekend during the long holiday. I did it because I'm lazy to wash my car & I hate the swirl marks. I'm almost done except the CSL trunk which is the most difficult part because of the high kick & I lost 5 ft. of vinyl due to mistake. I'm also in the process of completing the kit for the M-Sport bumper & will wrap it soon.

Overall, I'm happy with what I did. Plain black matte causes a lot of oil prints, so I applied tire black to give it a little shine just like a frozen black & it makes the black looks more deeper. I wonder if Wipe New will work on vinyl as well. Pics coming soon.

I know this is an old thread, but I gotta say, "it's inspiring". I've been thinking of getting mine wrapped after all the nutty quotes I've been getting for a respray, but this DIY thing? Whoa man! I dunno if I have the juevos to try it, but your rides look boss man, no doubt.

I'm finally done with the last piece...the most difficult part to wrap for me is the front bumper...too much stretching.
