Yeap, surplus bud, I've got a badass sub (Boston G5) that I plan to use instead of the JL's, I've only just got it, dont know how it sounds, but reviews are positive, so I'd rather sell the expensive sub and use the money for something else

How much better are these compared to the stock OEM ones found in BASE systems? I have a 4 ch amp which im planning to power the front 3 way with.. would these be ok to power off the HU / MS-8?

You can run them directly from HU albeit MS-8 preferred way.

Oh hold on.. just realied they're deck speakers, not door. I've got an E92 and OP has an E90 lol. What about the centre channel.. would I need to run that off an amp for optimal sound or would the MS8 be able to handle that?

i bought mine from ebay seller "superdeals.ltd", direct from israel

mate, you will not go wrong with ovation one's the only difference I found out was the cross overs and tweeters MT-22 vs MT-23, MT-23 has a double-neo-magnet setup; lower FR, 6 ohm vs 4, and a bit more power handling of 130w vs 110w.

Where can you tell if they're one's or two's? I looked at the two's online and there's doesn't seem to me any difference? My crossovers are sort of heart shaped.. :s

That's interesting, the shape of the crossovers seem to suggest you've got V2's mate ?? See my audio build thread, it's got pics of the morels
