2) Surely reading texts/emails etc is just another distraction to the driver? Of late I've started switching the phone off so I'm not disturbed with (frankly, unimportant) phone calls - I think being bombarded with emails and texts (and the ability to read them) its just begging for trouble.
Here Here Sheps my thoughts exactly!!!!!!

FWIW the iPhone 5 definitely DOES NOT work with the office apps which is a real pisser

I decided to go for the iPhone as I've had the BB for ages and I like the idea of SkyGo in my pocket but the lockdown by Apple of all the messaging functions is a PITA.

New maps which don't work? No thanks.

But can't the 3GS be upgraded to IOS6 in which case you too can have maps that don't work and not feel left out

I'm beginning to forgive the iPhone - it now gives me DAB in the car and I can send messages using Siri.

I'll save opening another thread, and ask another potentially dumb Q....does the iPhone 5 adapter allow the old mini/BMW Y-Cable work? I'm hoping to retain some sort of connectivity with the car for iPod control.
