Dead spider in headlight removal
So I've got a dead spider trapped in my headlight and it's buggin ten shit outta me looking at it. Any chance of vacuuming out his corpse without removing the bumper and headlight. At first glance I don't see any access to the lense from the top bulb cap. Any suggestions?Last edited by Hierlevelz; 10-05-2012 at 06:51 PM. |

I suspect that I won't be so straight forward. The headlight access cover doesn't allow access aheadnof the bulbs behind the actual head light lens and I don't think the bulbs do either.

All you are doing is creating a vacuum and you should be able to suck it out.

Is this for an E90 or E92?

definitely two turbos.

try the bulb port for the angel eye lights... the location of this bulb socket varies depending on model.

I would try blowing it with air and hopefully move it to another spot where it's not an eye-sore for you.

I have the same issue but with a bumble bee. except it's stuck in the back window. Was originally thinking of taking it out but now I have a carpool buddy.. gonna be bad the day I don't see it dead there any more though...

Tape a straw to a vacuum hose. Then just feed the straw near the spider by removing a bulb. I did this to catch a huge black fuzzy spider in my family's car.

Sorry for the poor quality photo but I rigged this up a couple weeks ago and it works great. I had water in my fog light and used a Shop-Vac with a couple adapters and this 8" rubber hose to get everything out. Works well with the hard to get places like the back window too. Not sure if it will work for your light but I thought I'd share just in case.

headlight bug
If you have it figured out why ask for help. Maybe you could turn car upside down and shake it. If you really hate bugs pour in lighter fluid and light a match, presto spider gone, but oop's so is car.
