TireLow Tire Warning
This morning I had a low tire warning in my car. All four tires were highlighted and the display arrows also pointed to all four. When I bought the car it was 100 degrees and this morning it was 40 degrees so I thought maybe this is the reason - but enough to trigger the warning???
I cannot read the manual as it is at home (late night reading last night) and I am in the office. If only one tire is low, should that one be the only one denoted in the displays? Is there a way to see which one is actually low short of checking manually? Thanks.

Usually the tire that is a different color is the low one, thats if you have idrive. If you don't maybe someone else can chime in. That change in temp can def make the warning go off. I would check them manually to make sure and then reset the system.

a 20 degree change is enough to trigger a warning....
PV=nRT and from what I remember, a 6% change in pressure is enough to trigger the TPMS Just fill all 4 to the appropriate pressure and reset the TPMS

It's just getting cold dude- just top off all the tires with a five second shot of air.
It happened to me yesterday- I'm up in North Conway New Hampshire on vacation...perfectly normal. |

This happened to me yesterday. We had a really cold day here too. I made sure all four were at 50psi (that's what my sidewalls say) and reset the alarm. No problems since.

50 PSI may be too much... even if you have 19s and are following the yellow sticker I think that that the fronts should be 30-something and the rear 40-something. Unless you are using a custom fitment and have checked your tires with chalk and/or a pyrometer, in which case as you were.

The rating on the sidewall is the maximum tire pressure rating, I hope you are not using that as a guide line, 50 PSI is way too high. Look at your driver side door jam sticker for the proper inflation pressure.

This happened to me once where pressure indicator and service light went off ...this was 3 days after a scheduled maintainance at the Dealer. I took it back...later found out that the error code had to be reset by them for the service light but still the low pressure indicator is a mystery !!

I don't have stock wheels or tires, so I assumed the sticker wouldn't help me. I have staggered 19's with Hankook Ventus V12's.
