Who has the best fuel economy of all the tuners being compared here?
Knowing that tuners aim for a margin of safety with their tunes by running them richer than OEM,which company has the best gas mileage with say a stage 1+ tune(race gas tune) without any other modification?
I realize that it also depends on how many WOT runs you do per tankful! |

Since I only have tried COBB, I can't really give a great answer. But if great gas mileage is what you are looking for, I say your best bet is going pro tuned! With the goal of best mpgs With a few WOT and daily commute, S1+ E50, Pro E-Tune by PTF. I just calculated 18+ mpgs. Not the best, but not bad for 400 whp.

In theory yes. But that was just one calculation. I was impressed myself. I am driving far next week so I wil see how freeway mpgs go.

I just looked and there are 7 E85 pump stations in the LA area. I have a few within 5 - 10 miles, so I am fortunate. Try Propel Fuels, they are based west coast. that is what I use.

Ideally, yes, but the N54 is highly capable to run up to 50% Ethanol. But you must have a proper tune. another poster on this forum, i believe it was on the COBB thread a few pages back. He has the flex sensor installed with proceed tune. which will automatically adjust the DME per the ethanol percentages. It was interesting that he was getting inconsistent ethanol mixture rates from the same pumps. That's why every fill up i do at least 1 log to check how my car is running.
