Where to get my windshield replaced in Orlando?

My CPO had some previous rock chips, and a decently deep one on the windsheild. Since the replacement process with State Farm replacing my wife's windshield on her A4 was fairly painless, I'm thinking about getting mine done.

Question is- where do I take it? The guys that did my wife's came to her job and did it in the parking lot in about an hour. As good as the results are, I'm just a little nervous about that arrangement, though very convenient. I

know there is a BMW Collision Center in Daytona, about 50 minutes from me. Any comments on them? I don't see a State Farm logo on their site, I'll have to call to confirm that. Is there a better place in Orlando for windshield replacement and works with State Farm?

Call your insurance and they should take care of it. Just make sure you have a crack the size of a dollar bill or larger, as they will try to have it filled. I had mine recently done by Safelite for free and was able to get an OEM windshield too.

It's a small chip, but it really looks as if it completely goes through the glass. It's that deep. Maybe they will just fill it, but I have a crap-ton more small chips all over (previous owner must have followed construction dump trucks to work everyday or something) so I am hoping to get it replaced.

I was just wondering if there was a recommended shop to go to for the replacement.

Get it replaced through your insurance. I've had 4 windshields on my car. I think Allstate had me use Glass America. Sometimes they did a good job, sometimes they did a crappy job. Tell them that you must use OEM glass, otherwise they'll give you some generic. It might take a couple days to get it in, but it's worth it. Insurance company is required to pick up the tab in FL.
