They ship on the 14th, doesn't mean you can get one before or even have GoPro at the even as a sponsor. Has anyone contacted Nick Woodman or his staff to see if they would be interested in showing up at the event as a sponsor to provide the BLACK to the racers from a sponsor booth? If anyone has any free time to go after GoPro, then feel free. I'm trying to find contact information, but don't have much time.

We contacted the motorsports manager of gopro but have not heard back yet

I was thinking the same thing myself of maybe contacting them directly because they are located here in the Bay Area. I was going to see if they can rush me one. But after doing some research the Black Edition GoPro seemed almost overkill for me and my once in a while filming. The only thing that had me wishing the Black Edition came out earlier was the 1080p at 60fps. Everything else is just fluff.

That's why I just went with the Silver because it's basically a new model of the Hero2 and has wifi control built in. The quality on the Hero2 is amazing and is more than I need. Gizmodo made a good point about the Black Edition today and how it's kinda overkill.http://gizmodo.com/5952501/the-gopro...rfully-useless

Yea the Silver seems perfect. I say get a wifi bacpac for your older one and a new Silver Edition and your good to go. Then you can control both with your phone or remote.

I sent Nick an email through LinkedIn. Not sure if he'll respond in time but I'm hoping so. With their 30 day return policy, I could buy the silver and then exchange it for a black after the event. But, 60 fps would be way cool. You could slow motion the look on the guys face driving the other car as your 335 pulls away due to it's massive amount of torque. The look of Oh'Shit that car is quick is priceless. haha

I just made 543 RWHP @ 5.0 psi on 91 octane today. Hopefully I will make 560+ on 100 oct when I dyno next week. Probably don't have time to up the boost before the event however

Another blown M3 coming to the event made 601 @ 8psi on MS 109 and DLSJ5's M3 at 12psi just made 645 RWHP. These should be good runs against you singles...except Shiv's. I saw a post on Sticky's forum from Shiv that he made over 800 RWHP on his shop car. That's nuts if true!

I doubt it made 800...and "if" it did...I'd almost bet my life he wouldn't run it at that setting during the event. I'm sure the kit can make that much just not yet.

Great numbers Adam! What shop are you guys dynoing at, and what type of dyno they use?

Dynojet dyno a Eurpoean Auto Source in Anaheim. They've dyno'd a bunch of supercharged M3's. Mine makes less boost but more power than most. Very odd...but a good thing. I gained over 30 RWHP per pound of boost...so running 8psi on race gas could theoretically gain me another 100 to the wheels...which would be pretty crazy. But not for this event...just gonna run it with some race gas to hopefully pick up another few HP. I'd be happy with 560 for the event.

Did you dyno your beast yet?

Just got back from the dyno myself. I went to MD Automotive in Westminster, same shop Shiv used to dyno his personal single turbo.

Results...607whp/710wtq SAE corrected!!!

Only mods are Renntech tune and BMC Air Filters. I am a very happy guy right now, and can't wait to let it play at the Airstrip Attack.

Holy nut sauce. I just picked up my car, but I can't drive it under boost yet, lol...still needs tuning from Shiv.
