Question Kosei K1's???

I am about to pull the trigger and order my self a set of track wheels and tires!

I am probably gonna go with the Kosei K1s 17"x8.5"

Has anyone had any issues or can give me some solid advice???

Thanks

I ran them on my E36 M3 as track wheels and had no issues at all. Cheap and lightweight -- the perfect track wheel. However, had they been out at the time I would have gotten D-force wheels instead.

Great choice!

Note that your tire will be closer to the front strut due to the offset (ET40) and larger rim size . If you are running stock struts in front you should have no rubbing problem, if the tire size is 255/245 or less. If you have coilovers, you might need spacers if you are running larger than 225 tires.

I've got a set and have been running them for about a year and a half with no issues.
The lack of center hubs gives the car a bit of a hardcore look that works just fine for me.

Guess what? You can hammer in the BMW center caps and they hold just fine! Take them out when on the track.

I'm in the same situation, was thinking of buying 245 sq. Are we saying that 255 fronts won't rub? (on a e92 stock)

Personally I have an E90, but I know that E92 can run the same size up front with street tires. I know that once you go to R compounds they run bigger and have the chance of rubbing the fenders.

A friend of mine shattered TWO...One of them the spoke broke clean off on a smooth on-ramp and another running over a small-ish berm on the track.

They're lightweight. They're cheap. They're great track rims. Just don't expect them to last like heavier cast wheels or equivalent forged wheels...And treat them as expendable parts and replace every couple of seasons and you'll be fine.
