Christian is a crazy man. I have had many times where my winters saved my life (okay my cars life). Stopping 5 feet sooner means the difference between stopping clean, or hitting the car in front of me.

Parker I wrote in another post about Southern Utah/St. George/Cedar City. Does the snow hit hard there?

I couldn't get around my neighborhood with my summers on in the winter. Tried it the first winter. Didn't go well.

Sorry, missed that.

I know Cedar City gets hit hard, they are actually around 6,000 feet. St. George gets snow, but I dont think it sticks around.

Depends on the weather. Those roads will be plowed, just depends on that day you are driving through.

Well I think I'm going to use wunderground again to plan my trip. It served me well before and hopefully it does so again. If not, I guess it will be on the news that a young man crashed his brand new BMW in the snow.

Worst drive I ever had home from Vegas (from Cedar City to a bit past Fillmore) was last January. Super sketch. But, like Parker says, it will totally depend on the day.

So what we have learned here, is if its snowing, snow tires are helpful. If its dry you can get by on your summers. However, you could possibly have a difficult time stopping in very cold situations.

I'm only worried about my trip back into Utah (coming from the south) since I'll have my OEM summer tires on. My winter setup will be in Utah so yeah. I'm sure everything will be fine... Hopefully.
