Isn't this the N54 powered one that beat the M3 GTS around the ring?

Fucking hideous from the back. I imagine that walking up to the back of that to put the shopping in it is like preparing to shag Madonna in the arse; alright from a distance, a bit embarrassing once you get closer and then just plain awful once you actually open her up.

Not for me, but a fool and his money...

The wings etc are horrible but its got a LSD, 400bhp, better brakes and suspension compared to a normal 335i...so I guess essentially what the M3 would have been like had BMW used the N54 engine rather than the V8.....still you can mod a normal 335i by adding a LSD/uprated brakes/suspension changes/power upgrades for alot less money .

Overpriced IMO for what is in effect just a (badly) modded 335i. I'm usually a big fan of Alpina's stuff but this is a miss for me.

It had an identical time around the 'Ring, which is quite something considering it's 50K EUR cheaper and has 42hp less than the M3 GTS. Here's the link to the full supertest with all facts and figures: BMW Alpina B3 GT3 Supertest / German sport auto.

I also find the green wrap awful, but most people order it in black or white anyway, so that's no argument really.

As for badly modded, i wouldn't say that. It's got a KW3 coilover, StopTech BBK, Akrapovic exhaust and a few aerodynamic bits - of course you'll find a more powerful N54, but then if the 408hp are not enough you can just remove the cats, crank up the boost a bit more or install upgraded turbos. But as they are, the GT3 are really fast cars. I did a track day this June when they were driving on the 'Ring and doing suspension setups with professional drivers, and there were very, very few cars faster than them.

A great compliment for the BMW engineers in any case, and a showcase for the potential of the N54 engine.

The mechanical upgrades are pretty decent, I was more referring to the external mods, I usually love Alpina's restrained styling but this just looks horrible IMO and it's still a lot of mulah. I bet you could carry out the same mechanical mods yourself for less than half the price or better yet, go and buy an M3 instead.
