What about if you have the BMW OEM Cable like in the07's that only have aux in spot in the center console? Would it be more beneficial to connect directly to the MS-8?

I can recommend the kensington dock to aux cable (w usb power). Good sq.
Just picked up that bad boy : http://www.kensington.com/kensington...dio-cable.aspx

Grab it from Ebay or Amazon for less than $25 shipped.

Ill plug it into the AUX port for now, And then run a cable up to my center console like this as soon as my MS8 install is completed.

If you use AUX off the MS8 and not off the OEM connection how do you select to use AUX on the Head Unit?

Sound quality that much diff?

Yeah I also will be adding an XD400/4 for Underseats ( 2 channels ) + 2 channels bridged to an ID 10 and not sure whether to go with 2 ohm or 4 ohm ID 10 and what model of ID 10 works best.

I'd 10 d4 wired in parallel. Gives you a 2ohm load. Also consider 500/3

Great idea. Would the 500/3 be too much for the under the seat woofers?

First thing I cant stress this enough read read read and more reading ( only because there is so much good info and saved me a ton of questions ).
Start with the AudioFAQ : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 This taught me so much but I still asked questions hahah but I did my homework first.

Basic Setups - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...81&postcount=4

Im pretty much going this route and then adding a sub + amp - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=518402

From what Ive been reading.. Just adding a MS8 + center channel to a stock HiFi setup will yield you awesome results for under $650

Parts Needed :

So for $610 you have a rockin system thats ready to have other amps / subs / speakers added whenever you want.

Hope this helps.

The two non sub channels from the 500/3 are identical to the channels on the 400/4, etc. the difference is that the 500/3 like the 700/5 gives you a dedicated 300w sub channel instead of using two channels to make a 200w sub channel as with 400/4

300w works well on an ID10
