Steering wheel cover!

Hi guys,
Just noticed that the Rubber material on my steering wheel has peeled off in certain places, minor at the moment but gradually getting worse! Anyone what the material is used or where to buy it from?
Ive looked at the plastic covers that are on ebay etc but they look abit thick and i dont really want to use a plastic cover..

Would appreciate the help guys
Thanks

you can't 'resurface’ that material you will have to buy a replacement cover

There are a few options that I have seen, the quality replacements start out at US$65 and up. I personally took mine off(peeling also) and wrapped it in 3M carbon fiber vinyl when I did my interior trim; turned out beautifully.
