Interest rate deals also available on the pre-reg cars as far as I can see. Plus the dealers can be pushed hard on these as they are actual metal taking up space and cash .... would of course always compare against new but certainly wouldn't rule out a pre-reg.

You have no idea on how close it was that the Porka was going and it was eye watering how much it had lost from it's original list price. Happy it's now staying though.

And auto's are not for old men, my PDK box is great

The best deal I have seen this week is from a leasing company I know, they phoned me with the deal

Brand new Boxster S for 900+VAT deposit and 299+VAT per month on a 2 year lease.

Blimey, that Porka price is very impressive, but guess the spec is pretty pants so the monthlies would climb quite steeply quite quickly no doubt.

Yeah, yeah, I know you're struggling with the whole DSG vs Auto vs Manual argument and that I may seem like I'm contraticting myself however the DSG just felt different and maybe something I could live with (for the short period of ownership that is likely to occur!!).

Something is on the radar so we'll see how things pan out.

Yes basic spec but the S doesn't have a terrible spec in standard form.. Great car for silly money..

The DSG I think is not as good as DCT or PDK, it just seems to miss something, the DSG feels like a computer controlled manual and the others can almost feel like an auto.

Sounds like the 135i is the ultimate option

Scott is bang on with the DSG v DCT.
Get a proper twin clutch flappy paddle and there's no going back. Old man or not

Sister and pal have Roc's She has the petrol and he's got the 2.0Tdi. Nice cars but like the TT v A3 (or rather TTRS v RS3) i'd take the more practical shape any day (and did in the 8L hence the username!). I'd be tempted with ED30 or Golf R for the 4wd.

I'm late the party, but what about a Z4 35i with DCT (trying to suggest something not been mentioned before) It's RWD for starts..and the rest you know about.

And if you're looking a Pork don't forget Godzilla Quite a few up for sale at the mo and going for not much with very little depreciation ahead.
