Last night my mates wife was having a go at him for changing his car so often. We then decided to count how many and decided that the last 4 years would be a good time span as on average that's how long "normals" keep cars.

Me = 8 (counting all cars in our household as I pay for them)
Friend = 18

I thought this might be a good question for here. I bet palmnuts wins*

I've had 3 different motors over the last 4 years..

- 1.0 Polo
- 1.6 Clio
- E92 335d

I won't be changing for another 2 or 3 years as I'm more than happy with my diesel.

I remember that thread Roger. It was just a general car history thread Started by Peter I think. This is more a how many in a given time span thread so that I can show it to my wife to prove I'm not as bad as you lot.

I think we should count from start of the year 2008.

Since 2008. And well... That's my entire car history! I bought the peugeot in 2006. So...

I tend to mod the car when I'm bored, rather than change the car. Less stressful! Less a$$holes to deal with too .. .

I still feel that I've done OK. Each car better than the last. Hard trend to continue with though now without spending serious money..

Because I'm old. If I start to think about modding. I realise I'm probably not that happy with it and it's time to move on. I also hate having to revert a car back to standard before trading it in.
