Steering wheel spacer?

Is there something available? I've pretty much determined that my ideal driving position is not possible with the stock parts.

It is possible aslong as they make a quick release for our cars. But those never look oem and usually end up sorta ricey.

The steering wheel goes in, out, up, down, what else do you want it to do? What type of position are you trying to achieve. Its not a semi and the steering column can not come from the floor in a vertical manner

the problem that I have is that I can't seem to sit far enough away from the pedals that my legs aren't all scrunched up and still close enough to the steering wheel. I can mitigate it somewhat by lowering the steering wheel, but then I can't see the directional indicators or the tops of the gauges. I'm not particularly disproportionate either - if anything my arms are a little bit longer than average for my height.

I know I'm being picky but the car is so damn near perfect in every other respect...

Garage List
2008 BMW 335i  [5.00]
Your wrists should sit on top of the steering wheel when you stretch your hands out.
Perhaps your seat is recline too far back? 6 foot isn't too deviant from the average height.

I didn't think so either. Seat back is nearly vertical and I still feel too close to the pedals and yet I can't rest my wrist on the top of the wheel without pulling my shoulder off the back of the seat. Unfortunately this seems to be common with nearly all new cars, I expected BMW to have a better range of adjustment though.
