True, but at that point I had no choice! Although in all seriousness, in my 4th and last session, I went 7/10ths and barely used the brakes and got by just fine. I was actually more consistent doing a constant 1:40 each lap.

Yes definitely - go with BMW CCA, you'll get a great education. BMW CCA like many other clubs has a group specifically for beginners. I started running with the Porsche Club of America (PCA) in their beginner group ... they are fantastic too!

I would imagine once it gets cold, track season is over for most folks so you could throw the seats back in =)

It's honestly not that bad from a practicality standpoint, for me it was more about preservation. Didn't want to put so many miles on the motor/clutch for my commute but I get around just fine. I slapped on Blizzaks during the winter and as long as clearance wasn't an issue (less than 8") I never got stuck. But I hear you... I drive a G35x for everyday driving.

And yes, the car has a Quaife diff.

I think we should get a local club to host a 1 day charity track event. After paying rental costs (facility, corner workers, ems), proceeds go to Sandy victims. I think it's supposed to be low 60's over the weekend and early next week.

Thanks. The cabin seems to be the same temperature; I leave the controls on auto. It is louder though.
I'm thinking about making some sort of cover to go over the rear seat gap. Truth be told the rear seats aren't hard to install so I may just do that.

ah, now I see some turn-in corrections, haha. You always looked too stable until this vid, and I thought it may be the car, but it simply was a matter of your balls dropping. Although I gotta say you had the right type of motivation for this; there's the Z4M carrot in the front that actually was decently quick (which you reeled in nicely), and I remember I was right behind you and thought "I just pulled 1:38; why the fuck did I not get any closer!..."

Vimeo better quality because it accepts bigger vids, YT is faster.

I know it's cold and weather can be iffy but I just signed up for Thunderbolt (private track rental) for last Sat of Feb. PM if you're interested, cost is $200-ish for the day and you get at least 2hrs of on-track time.
