Yes. 15 more HP. In most cases.
What year 325?

325 (2006 on) 215 HP
328 (2007 on) 230 HP

15hp more on the 328i as well as 15 lb-ft torque more. I test drove both before buying, there were no substantial differences in the ride.

The 330i felt so much more powerful than the 328 that I bought this over the newer 328. I suspect there is very little difference between the 328 and the 325 from seat of the pants.

There is definitely a difference, or else why would there be a difference in models (325 and 328). As I said, the difference is hardly noticeable during daily driving. I never floored the 325i since it was a test drive.

I would assume that perfomance-wise 330i vs 328i would be similar although the 330i does have 25hp more which should make a noticeable difference.

I've test-driven a couple of 328i manuals and would definitely say I could feel a difference. Not night and day by any means, but power seemed to build a little faster as you got into the mid-range. I didn't open them up so I can't compare at high RPM. The added power would be nice, but not remotely worth swapping cars for IMO.

Does 325 + aftermarket tunes = 328

Does 325 + aftermarket tunes = 328

http://www.eurotuner.com/techarticle...25i/index.html
or 330

I would guess most of the difference would take place and be felt in the higher rpm's

so your going to pay 4500$ to get 265hp out of a 325i when you could buy a 330i at 254hp for 4500$ less ?

Does your life depends on the hp your car make ?

For many of the forum, it does. That's most of the users on here mod their cars. Modding a car is an expensive hobby but as people say: you gotta pay to play.

both are slow as hell so it really doesn't matter, if you're looking for speed you are looking at the wrong cars

Or you can put a stage 3 intake manifold in, used or new doesn't matter. Then do an AA tune. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=634855

It actually gives 40+ Hp for a 325i. My car is faster then my brothers 330i. So obviously it worked.

So gunnerxq what do you think it cost you?

Did you install the manifold yourself?
I think for most people modding a car is something that makes
it there own and unique. Its like saying this amp goes to 11.

I don't know the 328i because it doesn't excist in Europe (E9x).

I do know that the 325i and 330i are a big difference... You really do feel the difference between those 2...

I'm sorry, but that's a ridiculous statement. The fact that they may not qualify as truly "fast" according to today's standards doesn't, in and of itself, mean that they are "slow as hell", nor render discussion of enhancing their performance pointless. Perhaps you need to spend some quality time with an entry-level economy car to recalibrate your internal accelerometer, or at least take a look at the more humble engines available on these cars in places like Europe to see how our base engines in this country compare.

Some people need a somewhat fast car to compensate.
