E90 330i 6MT Dyno Results
A shop near me Vanku Autosports in Philadelphia was having a dyno day special this past Saturday. 3 Runs for $30. Figured I would see since I have been curious.
224.5 HP @5900 RPM 223.5 TQ @4100 RPM Full Disclosure: -No A/F Ratios were recorded -No baseline Dyno since I am not going for performance with this engine -All 3rd gear pulls Edit: I listened again and think it was 4th gear -Dyno graph doesnt look like what Im used to- what was given to me -2 other cars (Charger,370z) Dynoed what they were supposed to so I think it was accurate -Ambient temp was 58 Degrees -Car was driven 40 miles to the shop so fully heatsoaked -93 Octane Sunoco Gas -DTC was left on -88,000 miles on the odo -Hood was left open per the shops decision -Apparently a Dynocom Dyno www.dynocom.net -This was out of curiosity and for fun and in no way to start a war on here. Mods: -Injen Intake -Cyba Scoops -Muffler delete -CKS Coilovers, SWIFT Springs -Style 95 wheels -General GMAX as03 Tires -35psi all around -Tint -BMW perf. Those are great results. A bit high imho though. All the 330's in Houston dyno'd about the same but were tuned for 93. Probably has to do with 3rd gear pulls (why not 4th?).
I'd love to have more info about your suspension and more pics of your stance though ![]()

Not sure. I think they were all 3rd gear but now you have me wondering. Ill have to listen to the other videos again and confirm. I though they were high too but like I said the stock charger and 370z dynoed very close (+/-5 of where they should have been according to OEM which leads me to think the dyno was very accurate. Ill post some pics soon

Dynocom runs between 5-10% higher than a Mustang/Dynojet in most tests. It would all depend on how each were calibrated. I know you said you didn't care about baselines, but it would have been nice to see the delta's from your mods.

Great looking 330i and good numbers. The more time passes, the more I'm sure that the 330i is kind of a closet classic in the U.S.
Power numbers seem plausible but the torque is very odd. 330i was rated at 255hp/220tq so it seems unusual that your power and torque would be essentially the same. Further, factory torque peak is 2750rpm and your dyno sheet shows max torque at 4100. Maybe their calibration is off for torque and on for power. Is that even possible? ![]() |

Anyway it was out of curiosity and for fun so take these digits with a grain of salt! Thanks guys. Edit: For what it's worth, 4100~ is actually where it begins to pull and up to 6000 or so. Just in normal driving my power is right in that range. Last edited by RupertPupkin; 11-12-2012 at 08:38 AM. Reason: addition |

Suspension is First Generation CKS Coilovers with SWIFT Springs instead of what came with them. I have it set to a ride height that is low enough but still daily driveable. Spring rates are:
Front: 336 lbs/in Rears: 672 lbs/in Ride is incredibly smooth and stiff at the same time. If I wanted to go lower I would need to roll fenders, the wheels are OEM Style 95s and are 19x9 and 19x10 et24. |

Bought the coils slightly used from a member on here- SWIFT springs were bought from Harold @ HPA who is also a vendor/member on here. Coils can be bought new from **********s.

Thanks yea the thing has been damn reliable. Still feels great. Ill see if anyone there that day has the numbers from those two. just remember they were incredibly close to what you'd expect stock for the vehicles and didn't seem under or overrated.
