DEF fluid from a DEF pump

Ok. Have seen this asked before but can't find an answer. Has anyone successfully used a DEF pump at one of the many fueling stations now offering this service?

My old Touareg was a PITA to fill but you could do it with any truck stop pump. Looks like everyone here is using the modified bottle setup.

Thanks for the help!

I'd do it if they don't spill/overflow the side port.

Unfortunately there isn't a check valve on the passive (large) tank's fill port, so you would have to be quick with putting the cap back on after you unhooked the fill hose.

In theory though, it should be able to fill it if the nozzle has the right adapter. Most Class 8 on-road trucks have a gravity fill port for their DEF tanks so no anti-gravity burping for them.

Cheers
D.
