Help with settings for logs on JB4

Is there anything i need to change on JB4 log settings from default?
Car is stock other than the JB4.

Can you post the user adjustment page screen shot?

Click display only WOT for logging as well

I cant see your fuel trims, what fuel are you using, what map?
Your AFR is too high, go to settings, check codes and see what codes you have, if any. Then delete then and restart the car. Your boost is no where near target which could be why it may have defaulted to stock boost.

Hi smi1gj

Just installed the JB4 tonight and running map5, no other mods as didnt get time to install DCI. Using 97RON which here in the UK is super unleaded. Guess thats 93 in the USA?

That was fast, did you unplug the exhaust flapper thing in the trunk? just curious because of the code. 97 there is good and Map 5 is a good map to run.

Is this the G5 or G4 do you know? edit: looks to be G5 due to the default all map AFR values.

I would clear all codes and restart the car and do another log on map 5 and repost it.

do about three WOT pulls in 3rd gear from about 2K rpm to 6 or 6500 rpm
for the map to auto tune. Then log and check for any codes

Yeh the flapper is unplugged although might plug it back in as i commute 400 miles a week and it gets a bit noisy!

I really dont know which board, bought it from a guy on here who bought it new in Feb this year.

Will do another run tomorrow as its getting late here and to many police about . Will post it up from work tomorrow and get some logging on the way to work.

Thats about 30 miles from here. Nearly moved there once. Looking at my settings, some seem to be different to the normal n54 settings listed on the other forum. Is that because it is on map 5?

its because the firmware is old... go to N54tech.com and upload the newest firmware to the Jb4. That will get you on the right track. Good catch mike, that 2011 didnt register lol.

Once you update the firmware make sure the user adjustments match what you see on there.

Then re log

do 3rd gear pull 2-3 times in map 5 for it to adapt. after that, do 1 more pull and log it

Your fuel trims are back to normal now, AFR is still a little lean, is this map 5 after a few adaptation pulls?

Still looks like you are only hitting stock boost levels. Did you update the firmware? The same place that you downloaded the hex file, check to ensure your user adjustments(i.e.) all map AFRs and all that jazz match those. Also if you make changes, be sure to save.

Im pretty sure you have a G4, so those AFR settings you had look to be lower than the defaults should be, that may explain why you are running lean. You will want to put them back to what the screen shot shows for the G4 normal N54 motor all map AFRs show.

Hi mate, got a 30FF code at about 5800rpm or thereabouts. Not previously had any boost leak issues but then if its trying to push for more psi i suppose it will.

On the other hand could it be that it is so far off target it thinks there must be a leak?
Was going to try map 1 and watch what happened.

If i was physically there, im sure i could quickly sort your car out. I would email some logs and definately .csvs to Terry@burgertuning.com your main question to him should be why you are only seeing stock boost levels. I doubt its a boost leak, more likely something preventing it. I could be wrong.. Shoot him an email, hes quick to respond
