Oil changed not satisfied

Changed my oil used castrol full syn 5w30. I live in Florida. My oil temps went up a bit faster. My car's exhaust fumes smell rotten -_- Thinking of buying motul. What motul should I get if you can post a link on where to buy that would be great

8100 X-Clean is one of our popular Motul oils for the 335. Our most popular oil (by a long stretch) for your car is BMWs High Performance Synthetic. BMWs High Performance Synthetic is made by Castrol, yet it is not the same oil you get when purchasing Castrol 5w-30 from your local auto parts store. It is made to BMW specifications for their motors.

Rotten exhaust smell points to failing cats.

No such thing in the United States. Only Castrol that is full syn is 0-30.

Did u use GTX, or EDGE?

BTW..if you buy the X-clean 8100 cut your factory OCI in half. It's LL04 and in the US your gasser is tuned a little richer along with higher sulphur content. LL04 won't last full OCI but a Motul which is LL01 will.

I been catless for about 40k with that motor oil since day 1 clocking it at about 53k right now. No problems. Always serviced at BMW since day 1 and still have warranty and mine is a 05 build e90.

Perhaps they may have changed their formula. 2010 they told me they only refine Gr3 oils in the US and the the only oil which met the "traditional" definition of synthetic was their 0w30. You may be correct.
