Thanks man, that's exactly what I thought but people seem to think $17k is a resonable offer, I don't get it

For a STOCK car 17k is reasonable... Try posting on Craigslist in the SF/Bay Area section. Forum members tend to be cheap. Someone will travel to you for this car.

BUMP, Just had it taken into BMW, they refilled all fluids and checked out the car, no service is required for atleast another 7000 miles. Also too it to Marco Polo BMW and they ran diagnostics, everything working perfectly and runs strong ready for a new home.
