JB4 keeps triggering half engine light - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Every time I WOT with my JB4 on map 1 the engine malfunction light comes on. The funny thing is, is that it doesn't run differently no reduced power or anything. Any thoughts? Maybe time for new plugs? I'm at 43k miles.

yea.. i guess what im trying to say is that without logging, its a crap shoot. Unless you can see/hear/smell something obvious.

OP if you cant log/dont have a cable/have no interest in logging

At 43K yes do your self a favor and change plugs. Change the oil too and the air filter. Other than that, if you still have issues you have to get some real info from your car and logging is the easiest way to do so.

I'm going to try and change the plugs since they need to be done anyway. I can't log as I use a mac, but i've been reading the codes through the dash. Is there a site around that I can look up what these codes mean?
