Yeah, I was working ridiculous amounts of hours when he was here. Was gonna try coding myself, but don't have a working canbus cable or a laptop with XP or Windows 7 on it. Trying to retrofit bluetooth as well as change some of my convenience features, but I guess I'll just have to wait until I can find the right interface.

Is it for Can-Bus? The older OBDII cables have two of the pins sautered together for the K-Line on older cars. My brother gave me one that he used for his E46 but it's not compatible with '08 up BMW's.

Ah, should be okay then. I'll let you know if/when I can get the coding programs and laptop up and running. My friend has a laptop he'll let me borrow, but I may need to borrow that cable from you to test it on my car first and make sure it all works. Was gonna order the cable online that the coding subforum recommended, but they're out of stock for a while.

You can turn on the DRLs without having to get your car coded ... You can so it on the iDrive under setting or you and do by changing the light setting on your dash display, check your manual.

I just picked up a cable and coded bulb checks off for my LED fog lights. Sadly I have a FRM1 so i can't play with some of the other options. If anyone is interested in me breaking.. I mean coding their car, I'd down to give it a try.

I just wanna go for the "look good" mods for now.
I used to own and heavily modded Evo prior to this e90 so fast isn't my thing anymore. Mine is a AW sport/premium package. What is jb4/M tech? |
