335is with DCT and Procede...

I've had the Procede on my car for a few weeks, and the power feels good but the part-throttle shifts are quirky at best. They are all over the place, and the trans seems genuinely freaked out by the added low-end torque. What used to be smooth shifts in stock form is now awkward shifting, making you drive like you have a cup of hot coffee in your hand. You want to baby the car because the slightest amount of pedal seems to freak the trans out. It feels like it slips into the next gear. I've put a few hundred miles on it with no change. It's annoying enough that I'm considering putting it back to stock just to enjoy driving the car again. Has anyone else with a 335is/DCT car experienced this problem?

No I do not have this problem. IMO, get flash tuned for this car if you are not a DIY person

He has had better experience with flashes on an iS DCT

Yeah, I really wanted to keep the Procede since I can remove it for dealer work. A flash tune can be detected. I may just put it back to stock and drive it. Just further proves that I should've gone with a manual again.

Not if you go Cobb, it allows you to flash back to stock for dealer work.

Yeah, but can the dealer not see that it's been tuned? I know GM can tell if a car has been tuned, even if you flash it back to stock.

If they REALLY wanted to they can tell you were using a piggy also. Cobb is just more convenient, and cleaner to deal with and WILL yeild better results, IMO.

I think you hit it on the bead when you said you should've gotten a manual

Seriously though, all the piggybacks feed the PCM simulated load values so that it thinks it's stock and the more power it makes the harsher the shifts will be. The Vishnu flash may help with this so you may want to talk to shiv about it. Then again if you're through the hassle of pulling out and shipping your DME just to get a flash you're probably better off going the Cobb route.

Even my step felt different with the procede. Tranny felt more eager to shift. You definitely lose the silkiness of the tranny but hey your car is not stock anymore.

I'm also just procede on a DCT N54, no big differenc in shifting while running the procede. It is sensible that there is more torque but nothing like an uncontrolled gearbox.
You might try to test with the sport button, it should shift a bit firmer, but it result into less slipping when shifting. see if that makes a difference.
Also consider to reset you gearbox adaption (once) but do not do it too often.

I have a jb4 and I'm having similar issues. I don't have the dct though but the trans would sometimes do a very fast shift and aggressive shift that would make the car lounge forward a bit. Idk if its slipping. It's still doing good but sometimes it would shift very aggressively.

I'm going to adjust the boost response first to see if this will take care of the problem. If I can have it applying less boost at a lower throttle angle, I think this will take care of te problem.
