Can't see your picture Hawk, but a little thicker wont make a difference at all.

Is it a bull barrel or something like that?

Too big and too heavy to be a pocket gun. Chambered in a less than ideal caliber (.380 ACP). Not a practical selection by any means.

However, she sure is nice to look at and fun to shoot at the range.

Bastard, we can't have those in CA

I bought a Sig 232 to fill the void, but if i find a good used ppk it will be mine.

I also made my first bid on gunbroker, we'll see how that goes.

Haha I couldn't live in Cali just because of the gun laws out there. Absolutely brutal.

The Sig P232 is a beautiful little pistol.

S&W Sigma 9mm I got for xmas 2011. I'm using a deep carry chest band I bought last week. Hopefully my wife will buy me a Beretta BU9 Nano for xmas this year.

Haha! I usually go with Raven Concealment for all of my holster needs. Outstanding kydex holsters. However, they don't offer anything for the PPK/S.

I usually utilize appendix carry when carrying my G23 or G26. I use a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2. Probably the most comfortable minimalist holster I've ever used. However, I'm thinking of going with a leather shoulder rig for the PPK/S.

I find those uncomfortable when I sit down. Maybe I am wearing them wrong. Also, I just have issue with a gun pointing at my junk, even though I know it is not going to go off.

I really like the PPK, might have to pick one of those up for myself here soon.

Look up the Vanguard 2 from Raven Concealment.

http://www.ravenconcealment.com/holsters/vanguard-holster-systems/vanguard-2-holster-full-kit

The "holster" essentially just covers the trigger guard. It's a piece of injection molded plastic with a belt loop attached. There is virtually no material, thus, in theory, the "holster" should be much more comfortable.

All that being said, appendix carry isn't for everyone. That's for sure.

And definitely I would recommend the PPK/S! Feels incredible in the hand. Very natural to point.

I'm going with a rock island. It has great reviews and the price is amazing for a 1911.

From what I have read, you will want/need a better quality magazine then the rock island ships with, and some break in rounds. Other then that it seems to be a good piece for the money. enjoy

Doesn't bother me one bit. For me, appendix carry A) is more comfortable than carrying behind my strong-side hip (by far) and B) allows for a quicker draw stroke.

If just the thought makes you uneasy, please do NOT carry utilizing this method.

Know that loaded Wilson mags have a reputation for a tendency to rattle, rattle when you're walking through the grocery store, rattle when yer' out n' about in general, mine do...having said that, I still run em'.

Cheers,
