What kind of warning is this? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Does anyone see this before?

Car is a 2006 E90 330i with around 47,000 miles on it. Recently, the engine is hard to start, need to turn everything off (A/C, Radio, headlights) in order to start the engine properly. Does it related to the warning above?

Cruise control error.

Manual says something like: It's possible to keep driving with limited speed. Get cruise control system checked.

I have seen a warning similar to this when I was set to on Cruise control at about 50.
I then accelerated hard up to 90, and this light came on and the cruise switched off.

Switched cruise back on a few minutes later, and it was all good.
Cant remember if that exclamation mark was there too, or just the other symbol.

It didn't have the exclamation mark. Just the speedo and the arrow. It means a few things, but for your incident it means "the speed does not match the gear" happens in both ways. When you want to drive 20 in 5th gear i.e.

The addition of the excamation mark means cruise control error.

This is not good, because the car does not equip with cruise control.

I don't think so, get your battery checked under a load sounds like your cranking amp maybe low. I believe that information sign is because you were way over what you had the cruise set on so it shut off and gave you that sign, the cruise would start applying brakes when you release the throttle to bring it back to the set speed.

Ive seen cases with other members here where if your battery is weak, it throws codes and warning lights all over...Check your battery at any Auto parts store I believe its free. keep us posted.

2006 model year. If the battery was never replaced it probably needs replacing. The long cranks are a sign of a dying battery. Change that first.

Last7 VIN: NC47825

The car has no cruise control for sure, so I am pretty sure is about the battery since it has never been replaced.

I've heard that new battery needs to get register or sth, do I have to get it change by the dealer?

Maybe it really is an battery issue.

I replaced mine 1,5 years ago by myslef. Didn't register or anything and I have no problems. I guess it's another way to earn money for BMW.
