and i really dont understand why.. nobody was out of line.. i guess its ok to have a thread were everybody is showing off their guns and bullets but not ok to civilly discuss an ongoing problem..

Wow, I didn't even notice. I don't understand what is going on. I started the first thread that got closed and I was never given any indication that it was closed.

I wish there was some reasoning behind these decisions.

I don't get it either, the thread was digressing off topic, but i've never known a thread to be closed for that reason.

I just scanned the closed threads on the first page. Maybe they're cracking down hard on the personal attacks, comments about race, etc... since it's kind of run amuck the last several months. ??

What ever it is, an explanation would be nice.

I thought both threads were fairly civil considering the subject. What is the point of this sub-forum? So we can't discuss this particular subject? I'm happy to chat about modding and racing all day long, just let us know you don't want us to discuss politics or religion on this forum; or just get rid of this sub-forum.

Because its much easier for a moderator to close a thread, than to take time and read individual posts and figure out which ones are too much, and only delete those.
And I think this goes all the way to the top

That's very childish, in my opinion

The Palestinain-israeili thread was also pretty civil, considering the topic at hand
But it doesn't make sense to have a politics/religion forum, if most threads end up being closed

What are they afraid of?

Never got a response
They prefer to work in silence

I'm starting to feel like the pol./rel. forum should definitely be closed. I scrolled down through the current threads and it seems like a lot of these threads get closed... Just my opinion. Also why was the lighter side closed?
