Hi All,

Is there interest in booking a Christmas meal this year?

The destination would be the Penny Black in Kensington, of course ...

Last year was MESSY! I hope for a repeat, of course.

We'll need to make headroom in organising this pretty soon if it's going to happen.

I would imagine the date would be Friday, 14th - or Saturday, 15th of December - depending on availability from Tony.

No poll on dates beyond these 2 as there simply isn't time to get it organised before Christmas, but let us know which of the 2 dates works best?

I'm completely out on Friday & Saturday night mate which is a shame. Not saying I'd definately have been there but would have liked to have made the effort this year.

Neither of those dates works for me, I'm afraid.

In fact, I don't think I have any weekend date free in December now - thinking back to last year, we started looking at this in September to make sure everyone had it booked in - I fear that, whilst your intentions are excellent, it may be too late to organise anything with a good attendance.

Can I make the suggestion that we all do something in the New Year, as a belated Christmas meal? This will give us the opportunity to poll dates, let people recover from the financial arse-rape of Christmas plus give us all something to look forward to in the post-Christmas 'bliss' of Jan/Feb?

I am in Thailand till 22nd so can not do those dates either.

Early new year?

Also gives me a little more time to get the car ready

I'll be on Miami Beach sipping cocktails that I don't have to pay for mid December. Which is very unfortunate

Jan is clear so no problem maybe as its post xmas we do a big Sunday / Saturday Lunch at PennY black. Gives more time for drinking to continue into the night
