BMW warranty and service

Hi,

My rear brakes are due for some TLC. I bought the car (335i M sport) a few months back from a main dealer and it came with a 2 yr warranty. Do I have to get the brakes done by a main dealer or can I take it to an Indy without affecting the warranty?

A few people have had written clarification from Mondial who run the BMW extended warranty, that all servicing can be carried out by VAT registered garages.

However brakes aren't a servicable item and you don't get a stamp in the book for them.

Get on to Eurocarparts with the active discount code and buy Pagid discs and pads(they make the BMW ones) then either fit them yourself or a small garage you trust.

These are the parts you need. Only one sensor required.

PAGID30 is the current code for a 30% discount.

IMO brakes are a consumables, like tyres or wiper rubbers, and you can get them from wherever you like or DIY without affecting warranty.
