stamped steel subframe and eps, plus pricetag. Who would buy one if they have a perfectly good N54?

I find it weird when people are ok with the EPS. It's not something that's subjective, it's worse. It's like adding a digital zoom to a camera, there's only so much you can do with software. At some point, you actually need a lens.

+1 - Just had a 328i Sportsline as a loaner.

I test drove my friend's F30 & yeah, the steering wheel is not as tight as E90... It might be ok for some conservative drivers.

this. As long as the road surface is even, you'll leave two black marks. My old fwd integra with open diff used to also leave 2 black marks on even pavement if you launched it.

but once you get in a turn, or if one side is wet or sandy, the open diff shows it's ugly head.

Is LSD really noticeable around NYC?

Unless you're burning round the streets at high speeds then what's the use unless you're tracking it?

I thought about buying the F30 but ended up getting a 2013 E92 328i.

I don't really like the way the F30 looks and it's too large for my taste. I didn't think it handled as well as the E92 either plus I had concerns regards long term maintenance, it being a new model, turbo engine etc.

Really pleased with the E92 though!

I'd wait for the F32, looks promising from the spy shots. Unfortunately my E92 is a 27 month lease so it's going back next June, not in time for the F32.

Mmm... I test drove my friends f30 335 through the mountains. The feel of the car is just not there compared to my old e90 in my opinion. So when I purchased I went e92 just for the steering feel and looks.
Have you tracked either car? E90 way more body roll than the f30 contrary to popular belief. Go try it!

The feel of the steering wheel is one of the most important aspects of a BMW. I have no idea why they would change that with the e-steering. Crazy
