Who has the Dealer Glovebox Ipod Connection?

Anyone else have this? i have been trying to get it to work with Spotify Premium( In Iphone 4S) it usually plays a few seconds of a song then skips to the first song on my ipod, really annoying, the sound quality seems better then via the AUX cable so i would really like to get it to work properly

Maybe someone else has a remedy for this problem?

This is all on a 2007 335 w/ Logic7 btw, no idrive.

Try this:

After it kicks over to your music, double click on the button to bring up the lower banner that shows all open apps. Close the "music" one and then hit the button once more so the apps stop shaking. Then, touch the spotify tab on the lower banner and it should restart and work. I have to do this with Pandora every time.

I'll give it a shot! i also thought about deleting all the music off the ipod, because i never listen to it anymore anyways, but im afraid this will prevent it from working all togeather

Thanks

Just an update,

it seems now with the latest Spotify updates, this issue has stopped, and i can play Spotify without it switching over to my ipod songs randomly, but the track toggle switch on the steering wheel still doesn't work.

Garage List
Not sure if you ever got it work with the steering wheels controls. But with mine (2011 E90 not sure if it makes a difference) I deleted all my songs like you. This fixed the switching to the music app. Now I plug in my phone when the song is paused. Then select ipod on the headunit. It starts immediately and I can use the steering wheel controls. You also have to select the random button on the headunit for the steering wheel controls to work for some reason.

In my 2007, the Head unit only shows CDC, which is what controls the ipod, it doesn't actually say ipod, so it seems this is something BMW fixed with the newer cars. so i think its safe to say that steering wheel controls will only work with LCI cars and this dealer ipod option?
