There is SES light for the 29F3 (I guess because I have catless downpipe, the SES is on all the time)
I checked the error code because I found out every time I start up the car, the RPM is very unstable for the first few seconds...
And yes, I am FBO..

I replaced my sensor last night and did a couple of 3rd gear pulls afterwards. The 29F3 and 2AAF codes are gone and my AP is properly logging the LPFP again. Not an overly difficult job but it does get tight when it comes time to remove the sensor if you have normal size hands.

it's a lot easier if you take off the intake manifold, at least for me it was. i don't have normal sized hands i have a little bit bigger than normal sized hands and i couldn't pop the electrical piece off of the sensor.

Erm..... Have done hundreds of these things..... They take like 20 minutes!


Just pop the black box off the metal tang and take off the sensor.

Whats your trick since you have done hundreds of them to take that junction box off the manifold???? I tried for awhile and couldnt take it off so I just left it on and lifted the manifold until I was able to see the sensor and fit a 13/16 wrench in there.

Pry bar, common sense and finesse. You need all three if you want it to come off easily.

I literally got my hand under and behind the junction box and it pulled right now. That was the easy part of the job for me.

hmmm, dealer says the LPF sensor needs to be coded to the car. Quoted me $650 to replace and "code", lol.

Doesn't require coding per se......but it is very helpful to clear out the long term fuel adaptations after replacing

can the ecu be reset? like via COBB? or adaptations reset via JB4?

can someone help on what is needed to reset without the dealer?

The BT tool allows you to reset adaptions. It can also be done through INPA. I'm not sure how many adaption resets the JB4 can do.

I did not do any such reset, car performed flawlessly after changing an obviously defective sensor. It was stuck at 6.5bar (6500hPa), not moving. Later I also replaced the LPFP as a preventive measure.

I also threw P2AAF and 29F3 starting a few weeks ago. 2010 E92 N54 45kmi, Cobb stage 1 Agg. Initially dealership said P2AAF didn't require action.

Then over the holidays I was literally driving 1 block from dealership when car went into failsafe. Pulled over and saw P2AAF and P29F3 on Cobb, in addition to a new P29DC. Obviously a fuel issue. I was able to limp up the street to the dealer.

They replaced low pressure fuel sensor and now all is well. My SA said that this is "becoming very common". Seems like a lot of people are having this issue. Is there a recall on this part?
