Picking up new car today. So excited
Hey folks. I am so glad to be here now. Today I will be picking up my new car. It's used but new to me. It's a 2009 Alpine White 328i sport with 6 speed manual with Nav and lots of other goodies. It has 55K miles on it. I got it at the BMW Factory auction in Atlanta so the price was beautiful.
I am graduating up from 2000 E39 540 sport with manual tranny and 120K miles. Though I am losing performance, it's a much newer car with many more options that will be perfect as a daily driver. I love this forum...WAY better that bimmerforums. I will post some pics later. Have a good day.  [IMG]  [/IMG]

Congrats. Great choice on the manual as, in my opinion, its more involving to drive and more "BMW."

congrats! It's a good feeling! I think I will try used at some point....maybe on the Porsche.....4 y.o. would be the sweet spot from what I've heard (on those cars the mileage tends to be low)

I have access to BMW Financial Services Auctions whenever they come up in Dallas...10 or so times a year. That's where I bought mine from (2008 335i fully loaded coupe with 42k miles...I bought it in November of 2010 and only paid $21K).
If anyone is interested, let me know. The only deal breaker for some of you may be that it's full cash within three days of winning the auction. |

I remember picking up my first bimmer back in September.. and I couldn't stop talking about or thinking about what to do for my first mod. This is probably the best forum I've been on so far. I still have a lot more to learn... hehehe
