245/45/17 on stock 185's and stock suspension, 2007 e92 328xi

Is a square setup 245/45/17 gonna rub on stock 07 e92?

So what tire brands work? I've never heard of the tire itself being the deciding factor.... Usually it's the offset of the wheel. I don't know what offsets the 185's have, but can anyone else chime in?

Falken intros and some michelins have rounded shoulders so won't rub, hancook and a few other rft hav square shoulders so will likely rub

You should be fine on stock suspenison.

From what I know about tire brands here how they size up:

Small:
Falken ST,ZE, Fk451
Fuzion ZRi
Nankang NS-2

True:
Nitto 555
Michelin PS
Dunlop SP
Nexen n3000 (square sidewall)
Hankook 104, v12, v4
Toyo T1S
Yokohoma S-Drive

Large:
Continental

Will a 245 tire even fit on the 185 rim? That rim is only 8" wide (17x8, ET34).

FWIW stock on that rim is 225/45/17. I have those as a winter setup on my '07 335i E93
