sorry only qualified mechanics allowed! lol just kidding i think 200 is a bit ridiculous but my mechanics are friends or family and they don't charge me labor.

shopping around always cost you nothing. I have found shops to complete task for me in my friends or family can't and there's nothing wrong with my car yet lol

This statement above is the reason why some people should not be DIY'ing.

No offense here, but air tools and spark plugs do not go together.

hahah that is true. I mean tools in general. I need to buy the spark plug tool.

I've been doing brake, oil change work with my dad and we rebuilt a Jeep from the frame.

I read this as $200 for parts, plus an unspecified amount more $ for installation.

If someone criticizes this parts price, it has nothing to do with working for free, because the labour is also charged on top of this.

Yes, this price is ridiculous, and will not get better until Canadians stop paying it like sheep. Of course, we all get burned when we are in a pinch from time to time. I paid $45 for a sensor at VW this week that sells for $15 online, because of timing. The kicker is that the VW dealer 10km away sells it for $30, and the expensive shop (Crosby Kitchener) knows this but doesn't care - they were openly arrogant about their pricing. Tomorrow, that part is being returned.

My $200 6 X spark plugs includes the labour.

Is that price so bad? This is what I paid that day.

$95 - Oil change with filter
$200 spark plugs with installation
$50 - cabin filter

+ tax

I'm just giving you a hard time. Jokes aside, 1hr labor at $135 means parts are $65, and isn't bad for a shop. DIY guys will only ever see parts cost since $70 plugs plus $20 for a socket is $90 for a plug change and a socket that will let you do it at home any time. The prices you got isnt bad. But my price offer still stands!

Most plug cost $15-$17 each

so $16x6 = $96 1HR labor most shops is $100 96+100 = $196

$200 is fair at shop that all I am saying.

We only sell OEM plugs are those are the only ones you should be using in the car. No other plugs work right.

Many seem to use the NGK 5992 plugs which are one step colder than the stock plugs and also seem to work great. They use them on the big turbo cars. This is what I am looking to run on my car. Do you carry these?

Big turbo cars are a different beast and don't apply here, but anybody on stock turbos should be using the stock plugs.

I don't carry those.

When tuned plugs should be changed every 15-20K. If not tuned maybe 40-50K

Ok thanks. I just wanted to check if you carry them and clarify that the OEM are not the only ones that work. I'll go with NGKs when my time is up to change them though. A bit colder than stock on a turbo car can't hurt.
