Cracked windshield

I have a pretty bad crack in my windsheild and want to replace it. Does anyone know how much it costs to replace a 2006 BMW 325i windshield?
Thanks in advance.

About $400 bucks in your driveway with Pilkington or OEM equivalent glass from a good indy specialist glass company.

Rains sensor no problem.

I've had two replaced in the past two years.

OEM runs about double, my latest replacement was roughly $1000.

I had Safelite replace mine but using OEM glass they got from the BMW dealership. I don't remember the cost, but I haven't had any issues.

Mine using Pilkington OEM glass was 620 or abouts. Safelite did the work. I have to take it back to them because I have a slight pucker on one side of the top rubber gasket and a nick in my driver steering wheel airbag not there before.
Pucker was on both sides but tech said that the pucker would go away, it has not and it was cold when installed too so that might have something to do with it...

I see that OP is in Houston - if you're paying out of pocket, go to Affordable Auto Glass, they did the windshield on my E90 for under $200 - I've had it for 2 years so far and it's just fine

OEM glass is a waste IMHO - if it's brittle and prone to cracks/pits, why insist on it for a replacement?

I got a rock chip on the passenger side of my windshield just above the center of the wiper blade. I had Safelite repair it, but checked on replacement just as a comparison. They use Pilkington, but it's NOT the German made one that comes in the car - it's manufactured in Mexico, but I think the overall cost was around $5-600 installed. I checked with the dealer, who uses all OEM German-made parts, and they wanted close to $1,500! That was last year, so I'm watching the damage to see if it grows. They did a pretty good job at relieving the stress and stopping the damage from spreading.

I had Safelite fix an annoying chip today and asked what a new windshield would cost. Without looking it up he guestimated it at $400 FWIW.

Not sure what your case is but you might try looking into your insurance. Depending on how bad the crack is, a repair for me is free and a replacement is based on my deductible.
