I try and stay away from downtown Asheville, don't know why this place attracts so many damn hippies..

Some will think I'm crazy, but the new city is DC.

I know the traffic sucks, but I'm excited to be back in a bigger city.

Giving my notice today. My 110 mile r/t commute will become a 4 mile r/t commute. I think a new car is in my future. New car payments will be less than what I spend now on gas.

As far as big cities go DC is great, all the general city smarts apply, but with the right job/friends/location it's a wonderful place to work+live. But the traffic...if you're coming from NC, prepare yourself bud. A pro tip, don't touch the beltway between 330-8 unless you absolutely have to.
