I got a random email a couple of weeks ago about the shooting being a conspiracy, it went straight to my junk folder. It was more along the lines of a 9-11 conspiracy that the government is behind these shootings to get everyone emotional about gun control.

I'm trying to figure out what link they are actually trying to make. The Aurora shooting happened on opening night at the midnight showing so that kid had never seen the movie. The Sandy Hook shooting might make more sense if the kid drove from three states away to get to a place called Sandy Hook but that's not what happened. He drove to the nearest school to his house which was coincidentally named Sandy Hook.

Again, just saying "it's a conspiracy maaaaaan" doesn't prove their point. Strange coincidences happen all the time but I don't see where the actual conspiracy is taking place. Do these guys think that these two guys were "activated" by Christopher Nolan like Reggie Jackson in The Naked Gun?

The government is behind it all! They used mind control to manipulate these people into doing the shootings! They also created the conspiracy about it being in Batman to cover themselves up!

If Bush was still in office I have no doubts people would be saying this. He caused Katrina if you don't remember. Oh and he also caused natural disasters in the Indian Ocean by testing nukes underwater.....

I watched a couple of the videos. The only thing I found especially surprising (although I haven't attempted to confirm it) is that both fathers of the two confirmed shooters in Aurora and Sandy Hook were scheduled to testify in court on the same scandal.
