Yup that's him. He called me at least 20 times, I didn't want to answer most of the time. He seems to be a nice guy but clearly it's an act. If I were you I'd avoid him. When a deal seems too good to be true it usually is. I learned the hard way and now I'm out $133.

I know this is hindsight, but Tischer has the kit for $550 in case anyone want's to try and avoid something like this happening. Sorry OP. I've been scammed a bit worse, but I take them as character lessons. Never trusting Craigslist again! lol

They actually have a sale going for $535 shipped right now.

Will be placing my order soon and will be enjoying the peace of mind more than ever.

Meh. I must be the only E92 owner on the planet that thinks that the pre-LCI taillights look better. Only way I'd upgrade is if I were getting LCI euros with the amber turn signals, and even then I'm not sure it's worth the money.

But still, sorry about the OP's situation.

Let me mention this--you can have a legitimate dispute with a credit card co., in which they remove a charge to your credit card. This is coded on your credit report as DRG (dispute resolved by grantor), and regarded as a neutral or negative item, depending on who's looking at it. Someday when you go to get a mortgage it may hold the whole process up and you have to have it removed or be declined the mortgage. Fair? Probably not. But it's the system.
Didn't know this...

Wish he paid with a visa debit card though

Yeah unfortunately it was my mistake. When escalating my claim I said I'd accept $300 so that's all PayPal got me. The scammer's friend (who's PayPal it is) called PayPal and put $333 in there so that I could get the $300. No credit was used here.

Live and learn.

Exactly. I ask multiple questions to sellers for both my peace of mind, and to see what kind of person they are. I recently asked a seller some information about some body parts he was selling and he gave me extremely vague answers that basically didn't help at all. When I see a person has trouble selling an item it is usually due to 2 reasons. High price, or crappy information/communication.

I feel the same way. I don't like red blinkers, or white/blue front turn signals.

As we all know looks are subjective. I personally feel they look $535 worth better.

As for the Euro lights, I believe they'd be an extra few hundred.

Do we pre LCI coupe owners also need the foot well module for $300? + $550 at Tischer? BTW, I haven't seen them for $535 anywhere.

I know your not to blame at all and it was a total scammer but what made you think they were good quality used lci lights in the first place when in the for sale thread the guy said it has wiring issues and burnt leds?

I know the feeling though. Got jacked by a known scammer a couple years ago buying used parts for my Yamaha r6. Everything was either scuffed or cracked. Good thing I didn't pay as a "gift" like he requested. I paid regularly and covered the fees and it was the best decision I could have made. PayPal reimbursed me everything and I got to keep the parts and ended up selling a few. Not for much but whatever.
