I don't know about 5 seconds, but yes 400lbs is a lot and will make a significant difference.

Considering finding a pole position seat for my drivers seat and just removing the passenger seat and back seats for track days. Advantage would be that I could put 2 race tires in the front sitting on the floor where the seat used to be.

Anybody do this? Would result in maximum weight savings.

Pole position is like 17lbs, with mounting hardware i think its like 26; stock seats are like 65lbs. Remove both stock seats and add in pole position is minus 104lbs. Rear seat delete is minus 54lbs. So thats like 158lbs just in free seat work that I can put back in 1 hour after the event.
