decatted my 320d and it does sound lush (not loud at all only loud once in the turbo so win win)

doesnt sound like a diesel anymore sounds very deep and distinctive plus nearlly no turbo lag and no pressure on the turbo or any lights on.

One thing though is it does smell quite a bit of diesel now though so i was wondering can i weld a sports cat or a smaller cat in the center section where i removed the middle silencer?

The OEM cat only has a precat lambda sensor so no need to worry about sensors etc.

still want the better sound but dont want the smell.

Are diesel and petrol cats the same? can i fit a good quality universal cat?

Andy, can you tell me where you got the decat pipe from and whether the car is still running error free?
