Numberplate LED's

I have a bulb out on my numberplate so thought I might aswell get new led ones but there are 2 different types,
complete new unit's http://www.ebay.co.u...=item416ebc3c0c

And just bulbs http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cca027723

Will the bulbs be just as good or is it best to get a complete new pair of units.

For some reasons, you links are not working.
And are you asking for LCI or Pre-LCI number plate bulbs?

Sorry didn't realise they wasn't working, will re-do the links when I Finnish work. But it is for a pre lci. On my e46 I changed just the bulbs but didn't know if it was different for the e90 as I also found complet new units available with led's built in but are over 3x's the price.

Speak to Teddy at SSDD Motorsport (on holiday until end of Jan). I bought the units off him for £25 and they've never let me down. Looks the part too. I'm sure you can also change bulbs, but as I changed the units, it was about a 10 second job, if that!

Alternatively, have a search on ebay for the units and you might be able to get them cheaper?!

Also, see this thread.. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...r+plate+lights

They look great and all I'm after! Are they simple to fit just the bulbs?

well.. i believe the block units found on ebay are significantly brighter to the led bulbs. i use to sell these in Manchester and found that the block units last longer than the bulbs in the long run. Hope this helps/

£25 for rear number plate bulbs? Fella seen you coming.

Buy the bulbs off ebay, I cant remember the excat size now but £5 should easily cover the cost - just checked: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2PCS-3-SMD...item3ccd59f62f

Open the boot up, take a small flat head screw driver and slide the units left (IIRC) and then switch the bulb out put the light back in. Simplez.

No worries chaps. Straight forward fitting... push the fitting to the left (as I recall) and you should be able to ease it out of the boot lid to replace the bulb.
